CMS and tech stack detector

Enter any URL to see what the site is built with: CMS, ecommerce platform, JavaScript framework, analytics, tag managers, CDN, hosting, chat widgets and SEO plugins. Each detection shows the evidence it was based on.

Try an example:

What you get

  • The CMS or ecommerce platform, with the version when the site shows it
  • JavaScript frameworks, analytics, tag managers, ad pixels and chat widgets
  • CDN, hosting and web server from the response headers
  • The evidence behind every match, so you can check it yourself

How it works

Three steps, no signup.

1

Enter a URL

Use a competitor, a prospect for outreach or your own site.

2

Scan the page

The detector reads HTML, scripts, meta tags, cookies and response headers for known fingerprints.

3

Read the stack

Technologies are grouped by category, with the matching evidence and the version where it can be read.

FAQ

CMS & Tech Stack Detector questions.

How does the detector find the CMS?

Platforms leave fingerprints: generator meta tags, asset paths such as /wp-content/, specific cookies, script URLs and response headers. The detector matches the page against a library of these signatures.

Why is a technology missing?

Some sites hide generator tags, proxy assets through their own domain or load tools only after consent. The detector reads the server HTML and headers, so tools injected later by JavaScript can be missed.

Is this useful for link building?

Yes. Knowing a site runs WordPress or Shopify tells you how its pages and author profiles work, which helps when you pitch guest posts, resource pages or partnerships.

Does it work on any site?

On any public page that returns HTML. Sites behind a login or a bot challenge return limited results.
